Comprised of IEN faculty and Emory physician faculty, the IEN/Emory Center For Micro/Nano-engineered Medical Devices (Mini.M.D.) leverages and develops micro/nano-devices to address medical problems that will directly affect the clinical practice of medicine. A key differentiator and tenet of our Center is identifying and solving problems that are solely “medical” and not “bio” such that the path to clinical adoption and patient benefit is minimized.

Ongoing Center Research

  • Launching of the “Lab-on-Patient” Initiative
  • Establishment of Microsystems and Cellular Diagnostics Clinical Laboratory
